Frequently Asked Questions

What are patches for?

Our patches are made to assist in the treatment of an amblyopic or lazy eye. It should not be used as a toy and should be used under the instruction of an eye care professional. Only use a patch if you have been prescribed by an eye care professional.

How often should my child be patching?

Each child’s patching regime is different. Please consult your eye care professional to discuss this with them. Your child should only be using eye patches under the instruction of an eye care professional and should not be used as a toy or part of a costume.

Can I wash the cloth patches that I have purchased from you?

You sure can! Our cloth patches are machine washable. You can even machine wash them with your normal load. Just to be safe, place the patch into one a bag with your delicate garments and add it to your washing. Like all clothes, make sure you separate your colours from your whites. If the cloth patch happens to get wrinkled, give it a quick iron and away you go.

Do I have warranty on the frames that I purchase from you?

Do you fit prescription lenses into the optical frames?

We currently do not fit prescriptive lenses into our optical frames. Once you have received your frame, go to your local Optometrist, bring your child along with the prescription so they will be able to fit the lenses in properly. It is important to bring your child along so they can measure the IPD or PD (pupillary distance) for accurate fitting of the lenses.

My glasses are loose what do I do?

Many Optometrists will help you adjust your optical frames for you for free or for a small fee for their efforts. Bring your child with you when you go so they are able to fit the glasses on properly.

Yes. Our frames carry a one year manufacturing fault warranty. We send your frame back to our suppliers for assessment. Because our frames are made for little people, they are durable and strong. We understand that some children can handle their glasses with a little more love so our suppliers will assess if the damages are a manufacturing fault or due to wear and tear.
