If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl. But whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward.

Our mission is being able to share the gift of vision by giving children the ability to create a brighter future through sight.
Back in the day when I first starting working as an Orthoptist, I started off in a busy clinic in Blacktown working in a kids clinic along side an amazing eye specialist who specialized in seeing children. Whenever children under the age of 9 had poor vision or a ‘lazy eye’, glasses were prescribed and patching thereafter if the vision didn’t improve.

It wasn’t until a number of years later that I decided that I needed to help parents and kids with patching. I ordered so many different patches from different suppliers in Australia and even ventured out internationally to see if we could find the ideal cloth patch. It was important to me that when kids were patching one, two or even three hours a day that the time spent on patching wasn’t wasted. What I mean is, the most gut wrenching thing for me as a parent and clinician would be when you’re seeing a child after 3 months of patching and realise that although they have been ‘patching’, they haven’t really been patching because they’ve been looking over their glasses when you’re not paying attention.

When I first started creating prototypes for our signature susu and co cloth patch, we drew so many different designs and had this great vision to create a patch where it made it hard for kids to cheat or peer over their glasses. Pages upon pages, design after design. I had the vision that the perfect patch had to be able to do three things. 1/ Be comfortable and not cause irritation. 2/ Was large enough to reduce the chance of cheating over or under glasses and 3/ Could be versatile and be used for both metal and plastic frames.

And this is why I stand by and love our design. Our cloth patches are made from 100% cotton (except for the elastic fabric where you feed the glasses through which is about 3/4” in length) and they’re all cut and sewn at home in my spare time (whilst being a daughter, wife and mum and working full time) in our humble little home in the south western suburbs of Cabramatta in NSW. So when you’re purchasing a cloth patch or many cloth patches, know that we put a lot of love into each patch.

Our website was created as a platform to help parents like you and I navigate through the journey of patching and glasses and the things that happen in between. My love for gifting extends to our online store where you’ll also be able to find little pieces to share. Whether it be a relaxation colouring book or a blanket gift, you’ll be able to find it with us.
